CHOICES

Okay, it's February and WHO believes it anyway that a groundhog even bothers to notice the weather, let alone his shadow! Spring IS on the way!!!! We've got Winter Break the end of this month. Spring will surely be here by then right?
Last month we focused our guidance class discussions on anger control and ways to deal with stress. We will continue activities about these topics as we move on to related areas of discussion. These will include Communication Skills, Problem Solving / Conflict Resolution, and Respecting Differences. Depending on how each lesson proceeds, we may not get all the material covered in the remainder of this month (especially with the excitement and activities of Spirit Week). No rush though, I want information to be obsorbed not go in one ear and out the other. I do not have a specic time limitation for any given topic. If it warrants three weeks discussion in a specific area, then so be it. The kids have guidance class to learn social skills and life skills. I will do what it takes. I just want to be sure they have fun along the way!
