Dear Parents:

A huge thank you to everyone for our final push for Fundraising this year.  With our Charger Cards and Sally Foster sales, we have now cleared the $30,000 mark.  Our final event, the Triennial Auction, occurs exactly one week from this Friday.  We still need to sell about sixty tickets, and I appreciate your purchase of a ticket, or if you have not done so, by identifying and approaching someone who can, if you are not able to purchase one.  Success in both our Fundraising and Annual Appeal determines so much of what we will be able to enrich and augment our students’ and teachers’ curricular and co-curricular experiences.

Thank you to Susan Crooks, the Parent Association and everyone who turned out for a fun evening this past Monday.  The Halloween Carnival was enjoyed most especially by our younger students, and it was a fun evening in which to enjoy each other’s company.

All Upper School parents who have students participating in Winter Sports are reminded to come to the Charger Café this Thursday, 1st November at 7PM.  Also, our Autumn Sports Dessert will take place in the Charger Café on Thursday, 8 November at 7PM.

Coach Terry Jones will sponsor a “Late Night Madness” basketball event on Tuesday, 6 November from 6-8PM.  Admission is $5 and it is open to the public as well.

Pre-School will hold a “Doughnuts with Dad” event on Wednesday, 7 November from 7.30-8.30AM.  Please come to the Pre-School Commons Area and enjoy the energy of our Pre-Schoolers!

Progress reports for the second quarter will be mailed on Monday, 12 November.  Please remember that after the first set of reports in September, all subsequent progress reports are only mailed if the student has gone up ten points, gone down ten points, or is receiving a failing grade in any subject from the last set of marks.

Our school’s FCA Chapter is sponsoring a Blood Drive on Friday, 16 November from 8AM until 12.30PM.  While you are welcome to walk in to give, you may also contact Sharon Geelen at 736.1045 to schedule an appointment.  Our goal is to raise 40 pints of blood that day.

Our Thanksgiving Break begins afterschool on Tuesday, 20 November.  We will have childcare provided that day until 5.30PM.  Classes will resume on Monday morning, 26 November.  Best wishes to all of you for a restful and bountiful Thanksgiving holiday!

Remember that Daylight Savings Time ends this week end!  Fall Back on those clocks to make sure that no one arrives an hour too early this Monday.
