Mr. Clark Social Studies Assignments
Week of 10 May to 14 May 2010

First Period  & Third Period  Geography/Contemporary Issues   Unit Nine Australia.
Outline due 17 May.    Test  Will be included on the exam.  
Geography Final Project due May 7th.

Fourth Period.-ELPS .   Course completed.

Fifth Period.   AP U.S. History.   Exam review week.

Sixth Period.   CP U.S. History.   1945- to the Present presentations.  Test 17 May.

                             AP U.S. History summer reading requirements.

All of these assignments must be completed over the course of the summer break.  The written portion of these assignments is due on the first day back in school in August.

Phase I.   AP U.S. History Book reading and critiquing  requirements.  Read and write a written summary on each of the following units.   Be factual and specific in your critique of each unit.

P. ix-xxxi  write a summary.
P. 1-15 answer questions 1-10 p.14-15
P. 16-41 answer questions 1-10 p. 36-37.
P. 42-59  answer questions 1-10 p. 54-55
P. 60-71 answer questions 1-10 p. 70-71
P. 72-95  answer questions 1-10 89-90

Phase II.

Read the first one hundred pages (Unit One) of the American Anthem.   Create an outline of this unit for me to evaluate on the first day back to school.

Phase III.

 Read The Summer of 1787 by David O. Stewart.   Write a critique (one page summary) of the main idea put forth in the book.
