TEACHER JOB DESCRIPTIONS

JOB DESCRIPTION TEMPLATE

This template is designed to help you  and administration compose job descriptions.  It is optimal for all job descriptions within a department to be written using the same format. The information provided will be used for a number of purposes including, but not limited to, job evaluation, recruitment, and staff performance review and development. Please be as thorough and accurate as possible.  The information you provide will serve as a basis for evaluating this position and the relationship it has to other positions in the school.

The job description should reflect your best effort to describe the essential duties and the essential qualifications of the job being described.  The job description is not an exhaustive statement of all the duties, responsibilities or qualifications of the job, nor is it intended to limit opportunities for necessary modifications.  A job description should neither limit the teacher’s opportunities to work creatively and collaboratively to solve problems nor limit administrative opportunities to assign projects and on-going responsibilities to faculty.
