Primary Resources: Learning from Our Grandparents

November 29, 2017

The 7th Grade North Carolina History classes have learned about all the different resources of information available which will help them understand their own place in history. Family members are excellent examples of primary resources, particularly grandparents, who have unique stories tell from their lives. For example, one student shared his grandfather’s tools and memorabilia from his years of NYC subway system, including the actual brake key and emergency code books given to him at his retirement. What a treasure for generations to come!
