Gold Key Award Winner!

January 17, 2018

Wayne Country Day School is proud to announce that Beverly T. won the Gold Key Award, which is the highest award given at the annual Scholastic Art & Writing Awards!

Since 1923, the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards has recognized the vision, ingenuity, and talent of our nation's youth, and provided opportunities for creative teens to be celebrated. The 2018 season represented the 40th year that Barton College, located in Wilson, NC, has served as host and regional sponsor for the Arts Awards for the Eastern/Central North Carolina region, including 62 counties from the Piedmont to the coast.

Only one Gold Key was awarded in the surrounding counties of Wayne, Wilson, Sampson, Duplin and Green...and that Gold Key was awarded to Beverly T., a member of the WCDS Junior class! Beverly's art work will be on exhibit from January 28 - February 22 at the Case Art Gallery on the Barton College Campus.
