COVID-19: March 23rd Update
March 23, 2020
We hope you had a great weekend!
Parents of Upper School students, please stress to your child(ren) the importance of completing their assignments and logging on to class prepared. We understand that they may have friends in other schools, who don’t have classes, work, and homework right now, but our school is very much in session and we will do our best to continue to provide the education that they all deserve even through these difficult times. So, please help us by emphasizing the importance of continuing school work to them.
We’ve also heard from some students that they have left important items in their lockers. If your child(ren) need anything from their locker, please have them email Mrs. Shaw: email@example.com. They must tell her in the email what their locker number is and what they need. She will leave it at the front desk and advise a time those items may be picked up. We cannot allow anyone access to the building(s) right now.
We’ve also begun planning to expand our virtual classes to students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade. As soon as we have adjusted and refined our curriculum for those grades, we will be in touch with parents. Please rest assured that we will redesign our curriculum to make learning fun and provide a venue for some social interaction with their friends and teachers.
We sincerely want to thank the parents of students in grades Kindergarten through 3rd grade for your enthusiastic, supportive, and quick response to the email we sent earlier today about beginning virtual learning for those grades. We were pleasantly surprised that within 4-hours, we had heard back from almost all the parents. Thank you for this support and commitment to your child(ren)’s education.
Thank you for your partnership and patience. Stay safe!
