Financial Aid Policy:
All families who receive aid of any kind must go through our need based financial aid process. We utilize an objective, independent, third-party company, School and Student Services, to assess a family’s need in making all financial aid decisions. This third-party resource (SSS) does not decide whether tuition assistance will be given or how much to give, it provides a need-based tuition aid analysis and recommendation that assists WCDS with the determination of the amount of each award. Every family at WCDS pays a part of their tuition, there are no full aid packages at WCDS.
WCDS also endorses the NAIS Principles of Good Practice for tuition assistance, including:
WCDS shall use a uniform methodology to assess annually, in a consistent and equitable manner, each family’s ability to pay for education.
WCDS shall require adequate documentation of family resources when determining need.
WCDS shall not use financial need as a consideration in determining a student’s eligibility for admission.
WCDS shall safeguard the confidentiality of all financial information supplied by a family.
WCDS shall recognize that the primary responsibility for financing a student’s independent school education rests with his or her family.
The Wayne Country Day School is committed to its admission policy as non-discriminatory on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, nationality or ethnic origin, and to administering its policies and programs accordingly.
