WCDS is taking part in a school-wide initiative to donate money and supplies to hurricane victims in the mountains of North Carolina. Many neighborhoods and towns no longer exist because of the devastation. Families have lost pets, belongings, houses, and even relatives. There are men, women, and children in need of assistance. Any contributions made would be incredibly helpful for everyone involved. Here are some items in need:
Items:
Baby supplies: diapers, formula, food, blankets, toys
Food: nonperishables, easy-to-eat foods that do not require cooking or utensils (pop tarts, protein bars, etc.), easy-to-open cans
Clothes: socks, undergarments, shirts, pants, towels, blankets
Monetary donations: Smaller aircraft require a lot of fuel to transfer supplies. All money or fuel is coming out of pilots' pockets.
Here is a link to provide monetary donations:
We will continue working with reliable and trustworthy pilots all week to send over donations as fast as possible. After the school day ends, any materials in Dr.Sharp's donation bin will be driven to Wayne Executive Jetport for immediate transportation. Please help us reach the communities most affected by this disaster.
Thank you Fairwinds Aviation for partnering with WCDS to provide assistance for North Carolinians
